2016 ASBMB Undergraduate Poster Competition winners

present your researchThe 20th annual ASBMB Undergraduate Poster Competition was on April 2, 2016 at the San Diego Convention Center. Over two hundred undergraduates from across the country competed. One winner and four honorable mentions were selected in each of the four research categories:

Category 1: Proteins and enzymes

Honorable mention: Brexton Turner, University of Wisconsin, Madison
Honorable mention: Wayne Cottle, University of San Diego
Honorable mention: Sarah Glass, Kalamazoo College
Honorable mention: Bowon Joung, University of Wisconsin, Madison

Category 2: Metabolism, bioenergetics, lipids and signal transduction
Winner: Rachel Flores, California State University, Long Beach
Honorable mention: Tyler Heiss, University of Delaware
Honorable mention: Kelsey Meacham, University of Alaska, Anchorage
Honorable mention: Matthew Stefely, University of Wisconsin, Madison
Honorable mention: Alina Zdechlik, University of Wisconsin, Madison

Category 3: DNA, RNA, chromosomes and gene regulation
Winner: Eric Castle, University of St. Thomas
Honorable mention: Naiara Garcia-Doherty, Winona State University
Honorable mention: Alexander Jones, Hendrix College
Honorable mention: Lindsey Felth, University of Wisconsin, Madison

Category 4: Cell and developmental biology
